The Youth Academy LOKOMOTIV was created for preparing players for the main team. Therefore our main task is the individual training of professional players, as well as maintaining social problems when attracting children to football. At the current moment there are more than 240 children in the Youth Academy, who are trained by 19 coaches.

Furthermore there is a branch of our Youth Academy – Lokomotiv-Perovo, where 200 children train under the management of 12 coaches. Our teams regularly take part in various Russian and International competitions, many of which are won by our teams. In 2008 alone our teams took part in International tournaments in Spain, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Czech Republic and Latvia. Also the Youth Academy holds its own tournaments and football festivals. Many of our players represent the all the Russian National youth sides. Five of our coaches have licenses from Pro-UEFA to B-UEFA, all others - national level C.

The Youth Academy of Lokomotiv is sitauated at the Lokomotiv stadium in Moscow. Its infrastructure includes: two indoor pitches with Astroturf, fields with both artificial and natural grass, gym, multifunctional complex (acrobatics, aerobics, indoor mats, running tracks), a class for theoretical preparation, medico-rehabilitation center. Players who are not from Moscow players (more than 40 people) live at the boarding school situated on the territory of the complex. Education, catering, accommodation, the issuance of study materials and playing equipment, travel expenses to National and International competitions on behalf of the club. All pupils receive five meals per day. All food is cooked in accordance with the recommendations of club nutritionist, who takes into account the need of children’s organisms at different ages and type of training process. The pupils of 5-11 classes obtain school education at the school, located on the territory of the stadium.

Training programs in the basics of football and general education subjects are compiled in such a way that the children could be developed both physically and mentally. Education at the school coincides with the state programs, which allows children to continue in any other school or university. The study rooms of the school are equipped with the most modern laboratory and demonstrative equipment, with many visual aids.

The health of the pupils is constantly under the close attention of professionals, who have certificates in sport medicine. The school has a rehabilitation center, which works in three fields: diagnostics, therapy and prophylaxis. The prophylaxis direction includes the vaccination of pupils according to the calendar plan, which is set by a highly skilled immunologist.

Thanks to the cooperation with the SRI (Scientific Research Institute) of emergency surgery and traumatology under the management of doctor Roshal and other leading clinics of Moscow, it is possible to detect any type of disease at the early stages, with further treatment and rehabilitation with the use of present-day procedures. Field trips to the theater, excursions, and joint holidays with parents - everything is done so that our pupils when graduating from our Academy would feel themselves comfortably in this world.
