Today in the House of Football on the Taganskaya square the calender for the 2010 season of the Russian Premier League was decided. As a result Lokomotiv will start the season away against this years Champions Rubin Kazan. The game will take place on the 12 March in Kazan.

The best Lokomotiv player of the 2009 season according to a pole on the official Lokomotiv website was announced Dmitriy Sychev. 3192 supporters took part in the pole. Sychev managed to get 56% of the votes and left runner-up Rodolfo way behind with 15% and goalkeeper Guihlerme with 13%.

We wish to thank out supporters non only for making a choice, but also for the fact that you were with us throughout the season, - said Dmitriy. - This year wasn't easy, so your fantastic support both at home and away was very important for the whole team.
We did not start the season off too well, but managed to turn things around and earn ourselves a spot in the Europa League. Of course it was a pity that we didn't make a Champions League spot. I hope that next season we will be more lucky. And of course I continue to hope that you will support us the was you always do.

Dmitriy Sychev scored 12 goals in the Russian Premier League this season and is the top goalscorer of Lokomotiv. The last 12 goal in the game against Khimki marked a 100th goal for Dmitriy in official matches. Also Dmitriy scored his first goal of the season in the 14 match day against Amkar. That means that Dmitriy needed 16 games to score 12 goals (he missed the 29 match day game against Dinamo).

Last year the supporters decided that the best player of the 2008 season was midfielder Denis Glushakov, who collected 24% of the votes overcoming Sergey Gurenko with 16% and Dmitriy Torbinskiy with 13%.

Lokomotiv defender Dmitriy Sennikov has signed a new contract the other day, which will keep him at the club for another season.

- The offer to sign a new contract with Lokomotiv came at the end of the season and I was delighted to accept it, - said Dmitriy to the official site. - Of course, the return of Yuriy Semin to the club played a huge role in my decision. In the end it is the head coach who decides whether a player is needed or not. Although I did not want to leave to any other club. I have very many memories at this club.

Dmitriy Sennikov moved from Rubin Kazan in 2000. During the ten season with the club he played 256 games and scored 6 goals (190 games in the Russian Championship and 5 goals).
Dmitriy was crowned champion of Russia twice with Lokomotiv (2002 and 2004), winner of the Russian Cup (2001 and 2007) and Russian Super Cup (2003 and 2005).

This week the contract with the Lokomotiv goalkeeper Ivan Levenets was cancelled upon mutual agreement. The club also decided that it would no longer require the services of Nigerian midfieler Sunny Keita.
Half back Haminu Draman and attacker Draman Traore have returned to the club, after spending the season on loan at Kuban. Defender Andrei Kuznetsov has also returned to the club after playing the season for Lokomotiv-2.

Moskva FC midfielder Dmitriy Tarasov has agreed upon a move with the Lokomotiv administration. All formalities will be dealt with during the month, as the current contract of Dmitriy is set to end on the 15 December.
The newly signed Lokomotiv player gave his comments over his move to Lokomotiv Moscow:

- On the 15 December Lokomotiv and Moskva will sign a transfer, the next day I will be meeting the team and coaching staff as an official Lokomotiv player. My contract with Lokomotiv will be signed for three years. I am delighted that I will be a player of this club. I hope that I will play here for as long as possible, as I am 22 years old already and it is time to win something serious. Lokomotiv is exactly the team where I can prove and show my abilities. Also Lokomotiv will take part in the Europa League which is an additional motivation, as I have never played games on the European level.
Why did I choose Lokomotiv? First of all, Yuriy Semin was intrested in me, secondly, I had to take into account the intrests of my family. I am from Moscow and I would not have wanted to leave my place of birth.
I would like to thank the Moskva president Igor Dmitriev, the head coach Miodrag Bozhovic, as well as all the supporters of Moskva. After the last game of the season an unpleasant incident occured. I would like to say that I do not hold any anger over anybody and I hope that everyone understands the reason for my move.

From todays day, the Lokomotiv main team will go on holiday, which will last until the 8 January. On this day the team will meet to receive all equipment and kits, the 9 and 10 January will hold medical testing. On the 11 January the team will travel to Belek in Turkey for the first pre-season training camp. Yuriy Semin's side will stay in Turkey until the 24 January. The second and third pre-season training camps of Lokomotiv will take place in Marbella from the 30 January to 12 February and then from the 16 February to 1 March.

Lokomotiv met Khimki away at the Khimki Arena in the last day of football action in the Russian Premier League on Sunday. Should Lokomotiv win the game, while Zenit lose points at home to Spartak, Lokomotiv will end up third in the league and start next season in the Champions League qualifying round. Another way to get third place was to beat Zenit by goal difference - Lokomotiv had 10 goals less. An aim which was hard to reach, but motivated the players well. On the 15th minute thanks to goals from Peter Odemwingie and Dmitriy Sychev, Lokomotiv were already 2:0 up. Before the break Lokomotiv had a number of excellent chances to increase the score, but did not manage to use the given oppertunities. After the break, when news came from St.Petersburg, that Zenit were ahead against Spartak, Lokomotiv brought the speeds down and even allowed Khimki to score their last Premier League goal this season, before being relegated. Six minutes before the end of the game, Dmitriy Sychev scored his 100th goal in all official matches in his career. After the win against Khimki, Lokomotiv gain 54 points and end up at the end of the season in fourth place, which will take the to the Europa League next season.

The Lokomotiv players and coaching staff visited the Moscow Region orphanage №29, which is situated near the Ramenskoe village, on Sunday. This occassion is somewhat of a tradition now for many Lokomotiv players and children at the orphanage. And many of the children also visit the Lokomotiv stadium to see the players live in action. When the children met the players and coaches, it seemed as if they were friends for a very long time. The children prepared various entertaining performances, including dances, songs and humorous scenes on the football topic, as well as singing the Lokomotiv hymn. All the children made postcards with their wishes and kind words. As it always is when friends do not see each other for a very long time, the children had very many questions about the life of the football players both on and off the field.

The Lokomotiv reserve team, under the coaching of Rinat Bilyaletdinov, took on Dinamo Moscow, in which they managed to stop the disasterous run of defeats, the amount of which numbered to four. Although Lokomotiv managed to stop their unlucky run, a 0:0 draw against Dinamo followed by a thrashing defeat from Saturn added insult to injury. As a result, the Lokomotiv reserve side ended the season with no medals.
